Dr. MadhukarShrinath, MD, MRCP (UK), FAAP
Dr. Madhukar Shrinath is a Board Certified pediatrician who has been serving the Ocala community for over 20 years. Dr. Shrinath received his medical degree from India. After Pediatric fellowship training, he practiced Pediatrics for four years in a needy area of India. Then he moved to the United Kingdom when offered pediatric and specialty training at the prestigious Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
After rigorous training in Pediatrics and subspecialties, Dr. Shrinath obtained membership/fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians after passing the qualifying exam. Dr. Shrinath also published an article, as the first author, in the British Medical Association Journal. After an intensive pediatric training in the UK, Dr. Shrinath was accepted as a resident in the leading pediatric program at the Montefiore Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He completed his residency in 1998 and moved to Ocala, leaving the lure of academia and research, to dedicate his further career for direct patient care where his heart belongs.
During his educational journey from Asia to Europe to North America, Dr. Shrinath had a unique opportunity to experience and learn a vast number of pediatric illnesses and treatment perspectives. Due to his prolonged training across the world, Dr. Shrinath has expertise in complex, uncommon, and challenging pediatric illnesses.
Dr. Shrinath has served as Chairman of Pediatrics at Munroe Regional Medical Center from 2005 to 2007. He also served as President/Chief of Staff at MRMC from 2010 to 2011.
Dr. Shrinath lives in Ocala with his wife.
